At Bribie MediPlus, we strive to provide quality patient care. We believe in offering a holistic approach towards diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management options. 

Our Doctors and Staff are committed to promoting health and well-being through preventative health and strongly encourage the importance of a healthy family GP relationship.


All Standard Consultations are scheduled in 15-minute intervals. If you require more time with your Doctor, please book a Long Consultation for 30 minutes. These are typically suitable for complex issues or if you require a number of concerns to be addressed.

Telehealth Consultations are also available if required and offered at the discretion of your Doctor (or the reception team following approval with a Doctor).

Patients are required to provide a minimum of two (2) hours’ notice for cancellations.

A $50 fee applies for all non-attendance, or failure to cancel an appointment where a minimum two (2) hours’ notice is not provided.

Please note, priority will be given to emergency situations over those patients with appointments and those who are walk-ins (without an appointment scheduled).

Fees Structure

All fees are at the discretion of individual Doctors. Please be aware they may use their own Schedule of Fees that differ from the below listed Standard Practice Fees.

Bulk Billing is at the individual Doctors discretion however is available for patients aged under 16 years and those with pension or DVA cards.

Discounted Billing is at the individual Doctors discretion but may be available for patients with a Health Care card.

After Hours Billing applies before 8.00am Monday to Friday, and after 12pm on Saturday.

Additional Costs:

Removal of Sutures: From $10 + GST

Dressings: From $20 + GST

Procedure / Suturing: From $30 + GST

We kindly ask all new patients to arrive at Bribie MediPlus 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment. This way you can ensure a “New Patient Form” is completed and the reception team can explain any practice policies and procedures.

To save time, you are able to download this document prior to your arrival, complete it and bring it to your first appointment.

Recalls and Reminders

Should your GP require further tests and/or investigations, a follow-up appointment will be required to discuss your results. This may be booked at the time of your original appointment or when the results are reviewed by the Doctor. In this case, we may contact you to arrange a recall appointment.

Likewise, as a courtesy to our patients, we offer an optional reminder system for routine health checks. These reminders are designed for preventative health care and are issued by text message (SMS), a phone call or letter. Please advise reception if you wish to opt-out of this service.

Referrals and Prescriptions

All patients are required to make an appointment with a Doctor for scripts and referrals. If you have lost your script or referral, the Doctor may be willing to issue another without an appointment. In this case, an administration fee of $15 may be charged.

Please note, it is illegal to back-date referrals, so our Doctors will be unable to assist with these requests.

Calls and Electronic Communications

Telephone calls into the surgery will be answered by reception staff and where appropriate referred to the Doctor via a message system. This is designed to avoid interruptions during consultations with other patients. The Doctor or a member of the reception team will come back to you as soon as possible.

At Bribie MediPlus, we’re able to send you a text message (SMS) reminder the day before your appointment. Email communication is kept to a minimum and is not used to send or receive your private health information.

Privacy and Health Information

All patient information is managed in accordance with current Privacy Legislation and is protected by Commonwealth and State laws including he Privacy Act 1988 and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (QLD) as amended to date.
